Concealed within the nature - I

“Without new experiences, something inside of us sleeps. The sleeper must awaken.” – Frank Herbert

What are the destination options we tend to choose whenever we plan for a vacation? Either the places we have already visited several times or the one we get suggestions for or the one which is widespread in social media as the popular vacation spot. Why don’t we opt for some new, lesser-known, and unexplored travel destination?
One reason is that we hardly want to know about such offbeat places that are rarely known, and most of the travel sites haven't mentioned them enough in their articles. But a fair fact is that a real traveler never classifies a place on its popularity of being a tourist destination. He explores every place regardless of its prevalence in the real world. It is not that the lesser-known places have anything less to offer; it's just that they haven't been explored as much. This is why we need to know places that are the most underrated travel options in India. You would be surprised by how much this country has to offer.

Coorg, Karnataka
Located amidst mountains in Karnataka with a forever foggy landscape, Coorg is the place to be for all nature lovers. Forest covered hills, spice and coffee plantations also add to the landscape. Coorg is the largest producer of Coffee in India. Also, it is one of the places with the highest rainfall across the nation. Hills covered in lush green forests and landscape clothed with coffee plantations and tea gardens, this hill station has breathtakingly stunning scenic beauty.
Abbey Falls is located in the middle of spice estates and coffee plantations. It offers the best view after the monsoons. The beauty of the Kaveri River flowing down the rocks, forming the falls is exceptional. The waterfall originates from a height of 70 feet.

Tadiandamol offers many adventurous activities for tourists, including peaceful trekking.

Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is a well-known sanctuary in Karnataka due to the abundance of wildlife.  The place is filled with risked and rare species of birds.

Coorg also stands different because of its culture and people. The Kodavas, a local clan specializing in martial arts, are famous for their keen hospitality.

With its fascinating scenery and dense greenery, Coorg is the richest hill station in Karnataka. On a visit to Coorg, you can experience the beautiful concept of "homestays" and make your journey more memorable!

Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu
Have you watched the 'Chennai Express' movie? The one starring Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and many exceptional south Indian characters!! This iconic movie was shot in one of the most beautiful places in Tamil Nadu - Rameshwaram.

Rameshwaram is a small town situated in the Pamban island in the Tamil Nadu state of India. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama built a bridge starting from here right up to Sri Lanka to conduct a war against Ravana after he abducted Sita. The bridge is 40 km from Mannar Island, Sri Lanka. A train ride over the rail bridge is pretty exciting as it sits quite close to the sea.

Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge runs parallel to the Pamban rail bridge. It is the second-longest sea bridge in India after  Bandra-Worli Sealink in Mumbai.

Rameshwaram is also a popular pilgrimage destination. The town has special significance to Hindus as one of the holy Char Dham—the four sacred abodes associated with incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Hindus believe that visiting all the Char Dham will help them achieve moksha (liberation from rebirth). There are also other mesmerizing places in Rameshwaram, such as Dhanushkodi, Agneeteertham, Gandhamathan Parvat, Rama Teerth, Lakshman Teerth.

The childhood home of India's former president, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, is in Rameshwaram and has been converted into a museum that's maintained by his elder brother. The museum exhibits the story of his life and achievements.
